ABOUT TIME!

This is what happens when you take away her Binky.
Daddy's credit card. She has him wrapped around her ity-bitty finger already.
Lil bit of sweetness.
Congratulations Holly & Travis! You sure grow 'em good.

What better way to end an awesome work day than to sit back and watch some good entertainment with the kiddos. After I got home from being at the plaza, Niki threw on her Snow White dress and we hurried to the show. It was my first time being out at the Sprint Center and I was in awe of how cool the Power & Light district is out there. If you haven't been...I highly recommend checking it out.
By the way, all these pictures were taken with my compact camera...thus the downgrade in quality.

My Mimi and son, Tate, came along for the show too. Check out the blue-lit trees behind them. I'm amazed by the little details.
So the show is over, we are walking to the car, and I say to Niki..."Weren't those princesses beautiful and they danced so pretty?" And she says, "Yeah...but you didn't buy me cotton candy." JEEZZZ. I don't remember my generation being so difficult to please. What gives?

Jana and Trent...you guys ROCK! You are the ideal couple and photographing you was fantastico! Trent...I know you liked it, too. I think Jana lost her lipstick shortly after starting our session. :)
This was our practice round for dipping on the wedding day.
Ok, I posed them and stepped back to my spot to take the picture and thought to myself...Trent looks like THE BOSS and Jana looks like the seductive secretary. Maybe she caught his eye with "The Bend & Snap". (Ok guys...which movie was that from?)

This was Jana lookin' sassy. Purrrr... EXTRA, EXTRA, READ ALL ABOUT IT! I know, that was cheesy. :)

SEE JANA!!!! I TOLD you he was checkin' you out.
HOT!

I'm gonna try to take the people out in the background later, but I really like this shot. It was worth the scary on-coming car. Eeek!

Narrowing down some pictures for the blog was really tough this time. I am a fanatic about BLOOPERS...otherwise known to me as people having a kickass sense of humor. I think it should be a requirement to include the bloopers when you purchase a DVD. Anyway, they had soooooo many funny pictures, as well as some amazing portraits...it made it hard to pick out which ones to show off first. I can't wait to work on them ALL. This was a really good day. Thanks Jana & Trent.

Before showing off my beautiful senior, I must first introduce my helpful assistant today...poor guy, we made him carry a pink purse around town.
And this is THE Maggie High. She is interested in Fashion photography...and she has a Canon camera. We get along just fine!
This was one of my favorites today.

What can I say, I'm a sucker for a grungy alley.

Maggie, you are a doll! Can't wait to show you more.

After my session with the babies, I decided to not cleanup right away and take a few pictures of my own kids for a change. It's been a long time since I've set aside time to photograph them together...somewhat professionally.....and I now remember why. They are truly my hardest subjects. I'm thinking it's because they know me too well. I'm seriously thinking of scouting a professional photographer soon.
But I did get some cute shots of my little flowers.

These were actually from Tuesday night...this was such a perfect weathered day.
In my son's shadow I see a man. He's growing up way too quick.

Ok, I feel a little bit better now having gotten some pictures of my own kids. Wahoo!

I got my baby-fix again! Remember the beautiful newborn cousin's from last month...well here they are already one month old. They have already grown sooooo much.

This is probably my absolute favorite picture from my visit with them.

"What happens in Mexico, ends up in Kansas City" ~Karen Koehn

I love this Snuggle picture. I call it "Laundry Day". I realize it's probably been done before a million times by other photographers, but it's one of those things that will always be cute.

Ok...so she's not exactly an elegant ballerina...yet, anyway.
This is a true male...his only desire is to lay around and sleep. Karen & Kristin described them perfectly at this age as "Sloths".

"Playful" is the word that comes to mind to best describe this wedding. This is John (on left/AKA:Groom), Scott (middle), and James (right)...and what a more appropriate room for the groomsmen than the nursery. It's all fun and games until a groomsmen gets stuck in a tunnel. :)

Take notice of the small white dot in the middle of this picture. That is a snowball...launched by the groom at his father. Isn't that nice.
They really filled up the joint.
Attack of the Bridesmaids!!!
I LOVE THIS ONE!
My mom's a big fan of MerryMooMoos...she's gonna love this topper.
There just aren't enough weddings that do this anymore. I live for the cake-smashing!
Beautiful Bouquet Bling.

WOW! I don't know if it was some kind of super-bubble-formula
or professional bubble-blowers...because this was amazing!
John really was snowball happy. Poor Girl. Krista became his next victim.
This was the perfect wedding to start off my Spring wedding season. The whole day was so much fun and the characters were definitely entertaining. Thank you John & Krista. More fun to come!
