The one-word description I give to this wedding was "FUN". They had a beautiful ceremony at Prince of Peace, followed by an amazing reception at St. Andrews Golf Club.
It took the effort on several people to help Sarah into her dress...but this was my favorite shot of the lacing of the back.

This was going to be an out-take due to the glass glare behind them...but then I thought of a clever title to this picture: "The Bride So Beautiful She Was Blinding"
My first wedding to have Irish men in their proper attire.
Gotta have a nice ride!

"Excuse me, Do you have any Grey Poupon?" said the driver.
Bet you've never seen a Groom cut a cake like this!
The toasts were especially interesting. The Father of the Groom said that he could tell his son was in love because he had the same look in his face "At one with the world" as he did as a baby while laying in the sun, naked, with a rash. Surprisingly, it was a very touching speech.
And...here is the Father of the Bride. He AND his daughter said they weren't going to cry. ...so much for that. Here is the Father holding back as hard as he can.
And here is Sarah...started crying as soon as the DJ started playing the Father-Daughter dance song.
First Dance as Husband & Wife.
This was TOO Funny. Rory had Sarah's dress all way up to get the garter, exposing her nicely sculpted leg...and then her father ran over to provide cover.
Mother-Son Dance.
This song was dedicated to Rory's brother, a soldier stationed out of the country fighting in the war. Rory's Dad, is also in the military and wasn't originally scheduled to make the wedding...but last minute he was given leave.
OK, this has got to be the best DJ I have had the pleasure of working with. I would highly recommend him to ALL. DOCTOR DJ had everyone on the dance floor the whole night, and everything ran so smoothly. I HIGHLY recommend him for all future events.

What can I say...there is something sexy about a man with a purse, blowing bubbles.
Sarah & Rory...I had a great time. Can't wait to show you more. Your brother and I have a lovely idea for your album front cover. Be prepared. :)

At our inital wedding consultation, Michelle was sporting a nice round tummy. Their wedding was much more than just the union between Brandon & Michelle...it was the union of their family. And this little guy is now out of the oven and is sooooo cute! These are some of my favorites from the day.Hey, look at this!!!! Real snow!!!...I didn't even have to create the digital snow for this shot.
What can I say....beautiful.

I always love to see what the groom's cakes will look like. It usually hints at his character....muscle-man.
I included this picture to show you the scary stairs Michelle had to go down in heels. Yikes!
I think Michelle & Brandon's wedding sets my record for largest wedding party. Although there are only 8 Bridesmaids & 8 Groomsmen...I believe there was a total of 32 people in the collective wedding part. Some tux rental place made some money today, that's for sure!

They did such a nice decorating job and Abe & Jake's had some great mood lighting.

Michelle & Brandon, WE DID IT!!!! 32 people + families and all! You and EVERYONE I saw today looked absolutely amazing, I can't wait to show you the rest of the pictures. Thank you for being great characters.

THIS is my front yard as of 5pm Today. This picture really doesn't do it justice...it looks like the trees threw up. We just got back power late this afternoon after being blacked-out for two days....two very LONG days. Between my family being sick last week and my power loss these past couple days....it is to be expected that there will be some delays on pictures. Sorry. Mr. Coffee, Folgers, and I are working hard at catching up.
This is my back yard.
My sister, luckily, is enjoying the warmer weather of California right now...but her very nice car has been parked at my home (since I'm the airport taxi...living so close to KCI). Last night I heard some branches cracking around 1am and I decided to quickly move her car...and not a moment too soon. A huge branch quickly filled the area where her car had been.
Amanda, if you are reading this...you better give me a gigantic hug and thank you for saving your beautiful car.

Ok, so I have power restored, my house is warm again (no more burning books and furniture to heat the livingroom...since everyplace was out of firewood). I am working very hard to make up time, but I want to thank everyone for your patience in these icy times.

This is Vic & Amanda and they are absolute TROOPERS! We met just a couple of weeks ago for a wedding consultation and they mentioned they were interested in having winter-time engagement pictures for Save-the-date/Holiday cards. And as luck would have it...we have plenty of winter-time around lately....but MAN! Was it COLD! We had an amazing session for (surprisingly) an hour in below freezing weather...the pictures turned out great though!
This next one was my little experiement for the session. I left this one at a large resolution, so you should be able to click on the image to have it enlarged on your screen. This was my first try at adding digital snow to the image. I think it turned out quite nicely, if I do say so myself.
Did I mention I LOVE red! Their clothes really bring out their red-hot love in the picture.
So sweet!
This was one of my favorites of the indoor session.
Despite the extreme weather conditions, their engagement session resulted in some fantastic pictures...well worth the frozen limbs.
Thanks Amanda & Vic! I'm so glad you share my crazy-passion to do what it takes to get the shot. I'll be seeing you again in the warm month of May.

I am proud to announce Mr. & Mrs. Crabbs! This is one solid couple. I can sum up their characters in one word: Genuine.

The morning of the wedding, Samantha received a beautiful boquet of roses and the sweetest little note from her future husband. I have to share...it read: "Samantha, Not only today will I marry my best friend, but I will marry the love of my life. See you at 4. Don't run. Love Scott."

That has to be the sweetest thing I have seen a groom say yet! Especially the "Don't run" part. :)

I love her white winter cape. It is so fitting.
Their first dance. I spent the whole day with them, but I could tell in 5 minutes they are truly best friends.

The mood lighting. They are so light-hearted...you can't help but be in a good mood around them.

This brave fellow won the auction to be the first guest to dance with the bride during the dollar dance. A cool $300!
And we can't forget the poor father of the bride. It was his birthday and everyone made sure to give him special attention.

Thank you Samatha and Scott! It was such a pleasure to hang out with you, your family, and friends. You both are headed for great times ahead! Have fun in Maui!
