Toni & Bobbie had a beautiful little backyard wedding Saturday evening that just so happened to be able to photograph. There were tears, laughs, and lots of love.

Family from all over, in town for a week...MUST get some awesome photos! This was a bit spare of the moment session, but I'm so glad I got to meet this family.

"Who brought the baby?" ...haha. The family will know what I mean. :)

Clair and Caroline are on their 35th year of a wonderful marriage. SO Awesome! And, they're still sweet on each other.

Last week I had the opportunity to do some more product photography, this time for the Best Western of Olathe. The Best Western of Olathe is located right off of I-35 and 151st Street and is a beautiful property. I took a tour of the hotel a couple weeks ago and was taken back from how cool it was inside. The entire hotel, from the bedrooms to the breakfast area, has a stylish contemporary look with artistic lighting and a relaxing atmosphere. I actually want to just go have a little weekend getaway there just to kick back.

Here's just a few of the images I've had a chance to work on.

Niki just turned 5 and I felt like such a horrible mother that I accidentally made her yearly checkup on her birthday. Poor girl got 5 shots on her 5th birthday. Isn't that for ironic...

I thought I'd share this clip we took a few days later. She is tall and skinny for her age, but she can stick her belly out like she's 8 months pregnant. It's so funny. It's a little exaggerated looking with certain clothing...this being on of them. Pleats are unforgiving.

This is pretty far behind. We went to World's of Fun with Ride & Slide passes a couple weeks ago, and it was lots of fun...but HOLY CHICKEN, that place is huge. I really thought we'd be ridin' and rollin' ALL day and ALL night...but we checked out of there before 8p. SO Tired! Has anyone else been there recently and thought it was WAY too loud? We don't go but every other year or so, but this was the first time I've ever been to World's of Fun and was thoroughly annoyed with how loudly they played their music over the intercoms. And I was excited to end our day there with a calm Train ride...but NO. The World's of Fun attendant was BLABBING loudly and un-understandably the entire ride. We all thought that level or annoying loudness from the adventure park was new to this year. It was fun anyway though. Next time, I'll be taking earplugs.

A good fellow-photog-friend called me last week and told me she badly injured her "trigger finger" for the camera...and asked if I would fill in for her Product Photography assignment for Sugar Babies Bakery. That three letter title, Sugar Babies Bakery, was enough for me to say yes!

This is an awesome family locally owned and operated business. Lance is the business manager/dishwasher, Sonya is the master baker, and their three kids are their trusty assistants. I love to see local business run with such care and commitment.


Below I have featured just 2 of their very, delicious and tasty cakes that I photographed. I picked these two to show off because they were supposed to be mine. The one of the left was a coffee flavored cake that you just have NO IDEA how good it was. I accidentally left the cake at our first session location. SO BUMMED! But Lance and Sonya offered to replace that one for a Chocolate Rassberry cake, which looked like it was worth every calorie. And, once again, I accidentally left it at our second session location. In fact, I got all the way home bragging to friends about how I was going to have a fantastic dessert that evening, before I realized it wasn't in the car. :( How sad was I....





And I must not forget to mention all the product taste testers. This is superior quality control here. I think they all approved. :)

Oh yeah! Had me some more David action! This kid was born cool. Many will agree.





Breakin' out the gum. ...which, if you've ever blown bubbles with Bubbalicious...you already know it takes a lot of chewing to get soft enough for decent bubble blowing.

This year had a rockin' 4th. We had a good time visiting with Matt's family at the Anderson-May 75th anniversary family reunion in Topeka, KS...and then we ended the evening in Eudora hangin' out with our favorite group of friends. Perfect.
