Ok...As usual, I've become well behind on blogging about my kids this month. So, this is a bit old, but my son has reminded me that he's not seen these pictures on here.
This year, I went shopping for Tate's school Valentine's and found the selection to be the most dull and cheapy than any previous year. Maybe it was just the store I was in. So, I decided to give Tate the opportunity to have a home-based craft project. Of course, there was something in it for me too...I got to test out my new ring flash. His valentines this year were photo-valentines, equipped with a unique and different knock-knock joke and bag of goodies. Tate actually had a really good time making them... and as a bonus for mom and dad, it kept him busy ALL evening long. Here's some of his mug shots.
Here's one from the school Valentine's party. Classroom parties are always a ZOO, so I only took one shot before all the kids swarmed me asking to see the picture. haha!
Then we celebrated the birthday boy at home the next day. That kids was hopped up on a sugar rush ALL weekend.
This was actually from the weekend before... I know, not going in order. (oh the shame)
Here's the barbie jeep my sister gave Niki at Christmas (the one that she and my mom assembled the night before). My neighbor came over and asked "Hey, what's wrong with your kid? Why is she getting out and pushing her jeep every time she needs to reverse? Haven't you taught her to use the reverse gear?" ...to which I replied, "There is none." He proceeded to exam the jeep and discovered that my mom and sister flunked their quality control in assembly. It was hidden under the jeep. Not only had we not been able to reverse, she also hadn't experienced the jeep in High-Drive.
Once we fixed it up, she was jammin' to her Barbie radio and peeling out for about two more hours...until the battery was finally out of juice. (Thanks DAVE! You're the hero for the day!)
On Wednesday, we decided to have a picnic at the Zoo with my friend Sarah Rimel (www.rimelphoto.com) and we brought along the cameras.
This one is her cutie pie. OH MY, how I want to pinch cheeks!
"PLEASE, MOMMY, PLEASE!" ... here's the money shot right before the carousel ride.
Niki soooo wanted to steal this monkey's toy.
Then on Thursday, my friend Dawn and her two kiddos came with us to Zona Rosa for some playtime before Tate's basketball game.
It was a pretty nice week...before the BBBBURRRRRR!!!!
