A few months back, I was contacted by Lawn & Landscape Magazine to photograph a fantastic local business, Buddy Rodgers & Son Professional Lawn Service. Although this is not my first magazine publication, it was my first to be hired intentionally for an article in progress. The Creative Director allowed me to read the drafted article before the shoot, so I had inside knowledge of the company before meeting the owner. Within 5 minutes of talking with Buddy Rodgers, I felt like I'd known him for years. A fabulous business owner, but mostly a sweetheart. :)

The Creative Director emailed me right after I sent her the file link and wrote "I just downloaded it and said out loud 'Man, it's so beautiful!' I wish you could do all of our photography! I will definitely keep you in mind for future shoots in your area." Yeah...I kinda like to hear that. :)

If any of you on the Kansas side want awesome-professional-quality lawn service, you should check out www.buddyrodgersandson.com . They are exactly what the American-built-from-the-ground-up kind of business should be. Buddy has definitely inspired me as a business owner.

Christmas Morning. We told the kids they were not allowed to wake up until 6:30a or after. We were awake at 6:31a.
