A new fabulous family to feed to my camera. Amy first contacted me a couple weeks ago with desire for some fun family photos, a Christmas present to themselves. Glad I could be of service. :) For the past couple weeks, Amy and I plotted ideas for the session...and although the gloomy weather forecast Saturday made me nervous, this family rocked the session anyway! It didn't hurt that they booked a hotel room at the super-awesomely-decorated Aladdin Hotel downtown. We got to brave the cold for some fun shots, use the hotel lobby for some unique lighting and stunning portraits, and then progress to the hotel room for their signature series (These are some pro "Pitch" players).

Did I mention that Amy, DC, and Claire all were dressed amazingly?!!!!

Claire is 7 years old and already a pro at modeling. I had NO problems photographing her. My camera was quite happy by the end of the session. :)

I was really diggin' the furniture in the hotel. This place was a photographer's playground. Oh and I LOVED DC's red tie.

Amy told me an idea for their signature shot could be centered around their card game, Pitch. It's a big game in their family, and played at nearly every gathering. Perfect for a signature shot!

Oh, and one last shot...gotta take advantage of the evening scene just outside their hotel. :)

Thanks Christine and Matt!! I was one stressed out Mom by the time we arrived, but you were so easy to work with. My husband (who hates pics of ANY kind) even said he had fun - that's saying a lot! I'm so glad we found you. Thanks again! Kirk (DC), Amy, and Claire (aka "the ham")
