Anyone who's been over to my home probably knows that...well...you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. I make every attempt to keep the inside nice and lively...but the outside is sorely neglected. It's on my list of things to do someday...but it just keeps getting pushed back. Anyway, a collection of, well...junk has accumulated in the backyard over the winter. Lucky for me, I have two beautiful, genius children that have managed to find a way to make the yard look even more ghetto-fabulous. They've used everything to create a fortress. Oooo, how my neighbors must love me. :)

Beware, this next one is a bit hideous....yes, that's me without makeup and on the bad end of a close-up, wide angle self-taken shot (which is not easy to do with a big fat camera).

This is Niki's source of super-powers. It's a very rad silver plastic ring...in the shape of a bow. It suits her.

Obviously one mom's junk is a creative daughter's treasure. ;-)
I can't for the life of me figure out what Niki is using as her guitar, but that shot is hilarious!
